About Us

Freedom Ranch Farm Animal Sanctuary began with a simple dream: to create a place where farm animals are seen, heard, valued, and protected.

What started with just a few rescued animals grew into a sanctuary filled with life, with cows, goats, pigs, emus, chickens, turkeys, horses, and a guardian llama who makes sure everyone feels safe. Each animal teaches us something new about resilience, forgiveness, and unconditional love.

Our facility is situated on 5-1/2 acres of beautiful land in the Arizona Pines, where our animals have plenty of room to roam and play. We have several barns and shelters for our horses and furry residents. Freedom Ranch houses animals that are ready to find their forever homes.
Why We Exist:
Many of the animals who come to us have experienced hardship:
•Some were abandoned.
•Some were surrendered by owners who fell on hard times.
•Some were neglected.
•Some simply had nowhere else to go.
At Freedom Ranch, they are not “livestock.” They are individuals with personalities, preferences, fears, and unique hearts. We exist to give them the life they always deserved.

Our Mission:
To rescue, rehabilitate, and provide lifelong sanctuary to farm animals in need, while educating our community on compassion, responsibility, and the beauty of every living being.
The Heart Behind the Ranch:
When visitors meet Lola leaning in for brushes, Piggie Smalls snuggling into his blankets, or Blue and Valkyrie curiously bobbing toward new faces, something shifts. People leave with a deeper appreciation for life, and for the power of kindness. That’s what Freedom Ranch is all about.
We Are a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Ranch. Your donations keep the gates open, the animals fed, and the sanctuary running. We are endlessly grateful for every person who believes in this mission.
Our organization also provides educational programs to the community, including school visits and community outreach events.

What we offer:
Educational Programs: We offer educational programs for schools and community groups, which include hands-on experiences with our animals and educational materials to help promote responsible pet ownership, compassion and animal care.

Volunteer Opportunities: We are always looking for volunteers to help us care for our animals. Whether you have experience with animals or just love spending time with them, we have a volunteer program that is right for you.
